Importer Ownership & Matching Policy

This Importer Ownership & Matching Policy exists to protect trust, prevent unfair competition, and ensure transparency in how importers are introduced, matched, and engaged on the WITTY platform.

WITTY is a Growth Operating System, not a broker.

Our role is to facilitate efficient, ethical, and protected trade relationships—while ensuring both exporters and importers retain control over their commercial decisions.

Importers introduced by an exporter are exclusively owned by that exporter unless the importer explicitly chooses otherwise.

WITTY will never expose, recommend, or route an exporter-introduced importer to another exporter without the importer's explicit opt-in.

This principle is foundational to maintaining confidence and long-term platform integrity.

All importers on WITTY fall into one of three categories, each governed by clear and enforceable rules.

Category A: Exporter-Introduced Importers (Highest Protection)

Definition:

Importers invited or onboarded directly by a specific exporter.

Default Rules:

• Visible only to the inviting exporter
• Not eligible for matching or recommendations to other exporters
• Excluded from public RFQs and discovery
• Cannot be surfaced to Business Growth Program (BGP) exporters

Exceptions (Importer-Controlled):

An exporter-introduced importer may become discoverable only if the importer:

• Explicitly opts into exporter comparison or discovery, or
• Initiates a public RFQ requesting multiple suppliers

Until one of these actions occurs, the importer remains exclusively protected.

Category B: WITTY-Acquired Importers (Growth Pool)

Definition:

Importers acquired independently by WITTY through:

• Advertising
• Content
• Partnerships
• Outbound initiatives
• Platform referrals

Eligibility:

• Can be matched with exporters
• May be routed to BGP exporters
• May participate in controlled multi-exporter exposure

These importers form the ethical and commercial growth pool used to power exporter acquisition services.

Category C: Importer-Initiated Discovery

Definition:

Importers who sign up independently and choose discovery.

During onboarding, importers select one of the following:

• "I already have an existing supplier"
• "I want to discover new suppliers"

If discovery is chosen:

• The importer opts into comparisons
• The importer accepts exposure to exporters
• Matching occurs within platform limits and safeguards

Control always remains with the importer.

Matching on WITTY is permission-based, contextual, and AI-assisted.

• No importer is matched without eligibility
• No exporter gains access without authorization
• Discovery is opt-in, not assumed
• Exclusivity rules are enforced automatically

WIZZY acts as an invisible trust firewall, enforcing this policy in real time.

Examples of WIZZY logic statements:

• "This importer is currently linked exclusively to you."
• "This importer has opted into supplier discovery."
• "This importer is not eligible for recommendations."
• "This importer opened a public RFQ."

Exporters see clarity, not complexity.

Exporters enrolled in the Business Growth Program gain access only to:

• WITTY-acquired importers
• Importers who explicitly opt into discovery
• Importers who initiate public RFQs

BGP does not override importer ownership.

No exporter is ever matched with another exporter's protected importer.

WITTY will not:

• Sell or resell exporter-introduced importers
• Secretly expose importer data
• Blur ownership boundaries
• Use vague language to justify sharing
• Rely solely on terms and conditions to override trust

Transparency is enforced by design.

This assurance is central to exporter confidence.

Importers always retain the right to:

• Control discovery preferences
• Initiate or withdraw from comparisons
• Choose who they engage with
• Manage visibility within the platform

WITTY does not force introductions.

WITTY reserves the right to:

• Update matching logic
• Refine eligibility thresholds
• Introduce new safeguards

All changes will prioritize fairness, transparency, and platform integrity.
