User Verification Policy

The User Verification Policy exists to protect the integrity, trust, and quality of the WITTY ecosystem.

WITTY is designed for serious, active exporters and importers. Verification ensures that:

• Only legitimate trade participants gain access
• Relationships are protected
• Spam, fraud, and misuse are prevented
• Exporters and importers interact in a trusted environment

Access to WITTY is free for eligible users, but not automatic.

Every user on WITTY must be verifiable as a legitimate exporter or importer.

WITTY is not an open marketplace.

Verification is mandatory to preserve platform quality and trust.

Verification applies to:

• Exporters (manufacturers, producers, suppliers)
• Importers (buyers, distributors, wholesalers)
• Any user initiating or participating in trade activity on WITTY

An exporter may be approved if they meet minimum legitimacy standards, including one or more of the following:

Acceptable Signals:

• Active company website
• Business email address (non-free domain)
• Verifiable export activity
• Trade documentation (upon request)
• Public business presence (LinkedIn, trade listings, registries)

Conditional Hold:

An exporter's registration may be temporarily held if:

• No company website is provided
• A free email address (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo) is used
• Business details cannot be validated automatically

In such cases, WITTY may request proof of export activity from the last 90 days before granting access.

Importers are verified using similar legitimacy checks, including:

• Business identity validation
• Trade relevance
• Intent to source products commercially
• Optional documentation for higher access tiers

Importers may join the platform free by default, but must still pass verification.

WITTY may use a combination of:

• Automated checks
• Manual review
• Trade intelligence validation
• Platform behavior signals
• Documentation review (when necessary)

Verification decisions are made holistically.

After review, users will fall into one of the following categories:

✅ Approved

User gains access to the platform and relevant features.

⏸️ Held for Review

User must submit additional information or proof before access is granted.

❌ Rejected

User does not meet platform standards at this time.

Users who believe they were incorrectly screened out may:

• Submit requested documentation
• Request a manual review

WITTY reserves the right to make final determinations.

Verification is not a one-time event.

WITTY may:

• Re-verify users periodically
• Review activity for compliance
• Suspend or restrict accounts that violate platform rules

Any user found to have:

• Provided false information
• Misrepresented trade activity
• Used the platform for spam or non-trade purposes

May have their access suspended or permanently revoked, without refund or recourse.

WITTY reserves the right to:

• Modify verification thresholds
• Introduce additional checks
• Restrict or revoke access at any time

These actions are taken to protect platform integrity.
